Kurt Knowles Joins Elite Group of North American Restaurateurs
WEST ORANGE, NJ – Wednesday, October 28, 2009.
Kurt Knowles, co-owner of The Manor and Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange and Ram’s Head Inn in Galloway, NJ will be inducted into DiRoNA’s (Distinguished Restaurants of North America) Hall of Fame at its annual conference in Dallas, Texas on October 27.
Knowles joins an elite group of restaurateurs that include Jean-Jacques Rachou (La Cote Basque, NYC), Robert Mondavi (Mondavi Wineries), Ruth Fertel (Ruth’s Chris Steak House), Drew Nieporent (Myriad Restaurant Group, NYC) and Paul Kovi (The Four Seasons, NYC).

Longstanding Restaurant Embraces New Dawn of Fine Dining
GALLOWAY – Monday, October 19, 2009.
Ram’s Head Inn announced today three significant changes for the nearly three decades-old restaurant under ownership of the Knowles family including the launch of an updated menu from new Executive Chef Gregory Baudermann.
Chef Baudermann, 35, was previously sous chef at Highlawn Pavilion, another Knowles-owned restaurant in West Orange, NJ and Executive Chef of Bottagra in Hawthorne, NJ. His experience also includes having worked under David Waltuck, formerly of Chanterelle in New York City. Chef Luigi Baretto will continue to work at Ram’s Head Inn, overseeing the banquet events/dinners.
