How to Choose the Right Videographer

Not all couples hire a videographer to cover their wedding day, opting instead to focus their wedding budget on their wedding photographer, wedding flowers, wedding cake, and wedding reception site amenities. That said, with the ever increasing production value of wedding videos, helped by the reduced cost of quality equipment and editing tools, combined with the popularity of video sharing across social media, the importance couples place on having a video record of their wedding day is as popular as ever. Pinterest is so much more than a collection of pretty pictures; for brides, Pinterest provides a look at the top wedding trends (so that they can decide if they’d like to follow the trends or avoid them!) in every wedding planning category from wedding gowns to wedding flowers, décor, photography, rings, and especially wedding locations and wedding food and drinks.

When you’re researching and booking wedding vendors and sites, it’s important for your wedding experts and wedding site managers to get a crystal-clear understanding of what you want for your wedding day. And as they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” When you can present to your wedding experts and wedding site team a collection of images of what you want, and what you don’t want, the experts to whom you entrust your wedding vision get that clear picture of what you both would like, and they can then start creating it for you, right down to the garnish on the appetizers you call a Must. Writing Wedding Vows

Bride and Groom

As a popular New Jersey wedding venue that’s had the pleasure of hosting thousands of weddings over our many years, we’ve seen countless brides and grooms exchange wedding vows. Some have chosen to follow traditional pledges and others have swapped vows as unique and different as the couples themselves.  In the end, both are beautiful options.  The choice a couple makes ultimately comes down to what feels right for each couple, but it is not always an easy decision to make. How to Choose a Wedding Theme

 Wedding Theme

Wedding Theme Photos

The first thing to know about selecting a theme for your wedding is that you don’t have to. Many brides are happy to simply decide on a general color palette and then base their decisions about wedding floral arrangements, reception table settings, wedding invitations, and all of the other details on their preferred color scheme.  At our NJ wedding venue, we found this can make choices both easier and more difficult.  The range of options available to you makes it simpler to get what you want and at a cost that is more reasonable, but at the same time, an endless amount of choices can make it difficult to narrow down what you want and keep a cohesive design together.

When considering a wedding theme, many brides simply start with a basic seasonal concept and go from there–whether it’s a spring wedding theme, summer wedding theme, fall wedding theme, or winter wedding theme. From there we’ve seen brides narrow it even further.  For example, if it’s a spring wedding, they may choose to base their theme on cherry blossoms, incorporating actual cherry blossom branches into their centerpieces, taking wedding photographs with cherry trees as a backdrop, and working with the pink and white cherry blossom colors and images as part of their wedding décor, invitations, wedding favors, wedding cake, and so on.  You can almost picture exactly what the execution of this theme would look like.  Within a seasonal wedding theme, the options are many — from a summer picnic theme to a winter wonderland, and so much more.  Read more…
